ADT's BAD PUBLICITY

ADT's Logo

Safety is the need that is required mostly by the anyone world wide,where-ever you are and there is a presence of the safety and security officials be it  the SAPS or Private Security companies, with no doubt you will feel relaxed, comfortable and stress less about any crime activity that might occur around you during that moment. After the article that was reported by the Star newspaper regarding armed men wearing ADT's security guards uniforms and using ADT's  branded vehicle who broke in a diamond company call AA Diamonds in Berdfordview and stole R23 million worth of precious stones.http://www.iol.co.za/news/crime-courts/thugs-in-adt-garb-raid-other-jewellers-1.1277600

The Star article brought ADT under a bad publicity, not only ADT including other private security companies were also affected by these publicity because now it's difficult to  trust any ADT or private armed security vehicle that passes by your house because you may ask yourself whether are they still doing their patrolling duty or they are planning to rob/break into your house.According to the Star newspaper other jewellery stores have come out citing similar attacks.
Two robbers the second of the three doors to the diamond store.

Indeed according to my view it's going to be hard for the ADT to get back their client's trust particularly those who are dealing with gold and diamonds trading.Once the organisation experience bad publicity, the public start to think twice about that organisation and the final outcome will not be fruit full for that organisation unless they act immediate in fixing/ correcting the mess that has already been made.
ADT must now really work hard to achieve one of the 7C's of communication which is Credibility within their prominent clients and remind its employees the company's goals, values and  missions.

RELEASE YOUR VOICE.

  1. It is a good thing that you mentioned how corruption has now become so easy in the security industry, this will make people aware of the crimes. What makes this a good blog is that you even mentioned the 7C's of PR and this shows that it is put in the PR perspective.

  2. We also have to ask ourselves if those armed men really work for ADT. They have damaged the image of ADT but are they employees of ADT? But either way this incidents shows that some companies are careless regarding having safety measures on who and when is someone permited to use company resources such as weapons.

  3. I don't think that there was anyone working for ADT amongst those men because nobody would jeopardise their jobs like that. In our everyday lives, everywhere on Television, social media, etc. they are talking about crime but it happens and it is well there.

    1. @ Mbali you know being desperate for money you can risk your life just to get that huge money which you hope it can change your entire life. Lets take a look at a quick example the Fear Factor USA,participant were risking their lives , eating insects strange food for the sake of getting $50 000.
Same thing applies with this "ADT alleged robbers" they wanted to steal precious diamonds stones worth of R23 0000 0000 with the hope of changing their lives.

  5. I also suggest that ADT have to work hard to regain its good image. It has to perform what is know as Corporate Advertising (which is briefly explained as a tool used to rectify a misunderstanding about an organisation which is usually paid for).

  6. Indeed credibility must be restored, if such incidents continue within the corporation, it may find itself losing its clients and potential clients. No one wants to be served by an organization that is not consistent and credible in its operations!

  7. I think many people will no longer rely on ADT company after what they have done. This shows that ADT company is not doing its duties properly. And this will lead to loss of clients.

  9. the point is how is ADT going to claer up their name and put a clean image to the public because one can think that these criminals work for ADT but accordin to me i think they got the whole informatin from the internal staff members(someone who works in this campany gave them evry detail about the company)

  10. ADT MUST come up with a plan to restore their name. They preach about safety and yet they can't even keep themselves safe.I do not feel safe anymore because I use their services to keep my house protected.

  12. ADT must come up with a plan to restore their image because this incident did do some harm in thier image in a sense that some people might see this organisation as just one of those companies which is full of criminals so ADT must act fast before they loose their valuable clients
